And now it’s time for the 2nd song of the album “Ekk Deewana Tha”, and the one I like the most (in this album, that is) – Dost Hai Hum Toh (Girl I Loved You). It’s really an English song, with only 2 Hindi lines thrown in between; just like A R Rahman's song Mahiya from SuperHeavy. I like this song mostly 'coz of the groovy music and the lyrics is cool; totally fits someone I knew.

Though very difficult to understand at one or two points. I did a google and was baffled to find that every single lyrics site has got most of the lines wrong. Everyone is hearing "pain i've got" as "made of god"...!! Com'on, that line was pretty clear. At least use some common sense. Nonethless, I too have some confusions in other few lines. (It's in italics in the lyrics box).

When I had first listened to the songs of “Ek Deewana Tha”, I was largely disappointed. Javed Akhtar and A R Rahman came together and this is what they create..!! I liked two or barely three songs in the entire album, having 12 or so tracks. One of them is Hosanna. Others are "Dost hai hum toh" and "Aromale". Though other songs also grow on you slowly. Well, this song is being posted here just for the sake of getting hits. Frankly, I heard about this song just a few days back and downloaded the album just this morning. Didn’t like this song much, other than A. R. Rahman’s music here & there. But as the song is nominated for ‘Best Original song’ in the 83rd Annual academy awards [or Oscar awards 2011, as they are better known as], guess there’ll be lot of googling for this. Hope to get quite a few hits by posting it here.

Honestly, I didn’t like even last year’s “Jai Ho” of Slumdog Millionaire either. These westerners are all crazy. And they call our music ‘weird’. Rahman has given much better music in Bollywood movies then these. And damn that British ascent. I couldn’t understand a single word of the lyrics uttered by Dido. Meh, whatever pleases Hollywood’s sensibilities.

For quite some time now, there's been a lull of good music album from Bollywood market. But not anymore. Now, three awesome albums are released one after another. 1st one I'm going to post here is from the movie 'Blue', starring Akshay Kumar, Lara Dutta, Sanjay Dutt et al. The music is by A. R. Rehman. I no longer believe that his album will always be a chartbuster. Maybe I don't have the music senses other pundits have. Anyway, I like 3 songs from this album. Apart from the obvious one, the other two are 'Fiqrana' and 'Yaar Mila Tha Saiyaan'.

Anyway, now to the song of this post. ‘Chiggy Wiggy’ is really a feet tapping number with sexy voice of Kylie Minogue and Sonu Nigam has also sung it with lots of Joy. Gets you in a groovy mood. I just love the way Kylie starts ‘Every-man-who-ever-sees-me…’. Just awesome.
