Back after a long break; to share this beautiful song with you all. Ayushman Khurana's second movie - Nautanki Saala. He's got two songs in it. Loved the first time he sang - Pani Da Rang in Vicky Donor. So, had big expectations from these two songs. "Saddi Gali aaja" and "Tu hi tu" both are nice songs. But better than them is the first song in the album - Mera Mann Kehne Laga, sung by Falak Shabir. The music is so natural (for lack of better word to describe it), you instantly feel like "this is my song".

Some good songs have come out since the last time I posted anything here. Best among them are songs from Blood Money. And Ali Zafar's London, Paris, New York also has some nice songs. But I didn't find enough time to post them here. Been busy playing with my new toy - Samsung Galaxy Nexus.

Anyways, I'm here today to post - not any new - but a little older song. This one is from a punjabi movie named "Virsa" starring Arya Babbar. The song is titled "Main Tenu Samjhawan Ki", sung beautifully by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. I had listened to it long time back. But it resurfaced and been ruling my mind after I watched this unplugged version of the song -

Poem: In Your Arms Tonight

Alright, so after Wo kehte hai, here's my second poem. A thought/sentence* was circling in my mind for a few days. Thought of turning it into a short, 4 line poem yesterday. But on way to reach this line, previous lines kept coming up and by dawn today, it was a full-blown ballad. :P

There's a dialogue in Ranbir Kapoor's next movie "Rockstar" -

Tuute huwe dil se hi sangeet nikalta hai

meaning "Music is born in a broken heart only". Well, I had my share of heartbreaks in the past. But never did I belch poems and shayaris in the past... But this time, just a little wound, and I'm spilling my heart & guts in them. Wonder what will happen if this one ends up in a heartbreak. Hope not. I want this to work.

Anyway, here's the poem -

I look back at the day I confessed
and I wonder whether I did right.

Poem: Wo kehte hai...

I haven't written anything original in a long long time and had been out of touch of this side of myself. There's been a lot of upheavals in past couple of years and now I stand at a cross-road in my life. One road turns my life around & makes my life worth living. The other one just continues on the same path I've been trading so far, if not more treacherous. Catch is, which path I get to walk on - that is not up to me anymore.

Anyway, one line was in my mind since last Friday. And while I was lazing on my bed this morning, that one line lead to other lines and it took the form of a shayari (romantic poem). And I myself was surprised that it turned out to be quite good without much effort. [Surprised 'coz I always sucked at poetry.] Check it out -

वो कहते है उन्हें भी प्यार है मुझसे, पर सामने आते है तो नज़रे भी नहीं मिलाते.

This is one song you won't hear in any movie or private album. I came across this song in a forum and been a devotee of sorts of this song ever since. There are several versions of 'origin' story of this song. One of them is -
Sung by Rohan Rathore from IIT Guwahati. He was suffering from cancer. He sang this song for Supriya, a girl he loved more than anything and anyone in the world. Unfortunately she didn’t return his love but this song was something he felt he had to do. He died just 15 days after recording this song.

Well, this story might be true or not, the song does touch heart. The lyrics are touching and the voice simply penetrates your senses. There was a time when I used to listen to this song every night and cry myself to sleep. Check it out below.

When I woke up this morning, I was feeling very very low. The last dream that I just woke up from was so sweet. But it’s never gonna turn into reality. That ship has sailed. I had a story in mind, wanted to post it on G@P. But eventually didn’t.

Towards the evening, while browsing a forum, came across a song titled “Feeling so lonely”, composed apparently by a student of IIT Guwahati who wrote that song for his girlfriend but died of brain cancer later. :( Downloaded the song. It’s really a sweet & heart touching song. And that reminded me of “Teri Yaadein”.

If there is one song that I can never forget, one song that will stay with me till my last breath, one song that is ‘mine’ – it’s that song. “Teri yaadein” from Anurag Basu’s “Love Story”, which iused to air on SAB TV.

This song is just so so sweet – every singly person in my family just loves this song. EVERY SINGLE PERSON. And me…. it’s like my anthem, my air and breath. I have no words to express how I feel about this song.

And now, the album of the month. Tum Mile. Earlier, an YRF release was guaranteed to have chart-buster songs. You could just buy any new Yash Raj movie’s album even if you hadn’t heard a single song of the movie. But that’s not true anymore. Now a days, all their songs are pretty ordinary. And their prestigious position of ‘Awesome Music provider’ has been taken over by Vishesh Films. Take any of their movie since ‘Jism’ and listen to its music album. Not just one or two, but most of the song of each album is simply superb. They define music. Those are among the best music ever created in Bollywood. Check out songs of their last release Jashn.

Same goes for Emraan Hashmi. No matter how crappy his movies are, songs of his movies are always top of the charts and on every youth’s lips. It’s like a blessing directly from god. I hadn’t even heard of the movie named ‘Tum Mile’. I came across this one day, suddenly, while casually browsing the internet. I saw that Emraan Hashmi is in this movie and I quickly downloaded the whole album, without even blinking. And wasn’t I right…?? Every song of this album is soulful. Even ‘Soul of Tum Mile’ – the instrumental number – is awesome.

Bhatts are back. After reviving the trend of horror movies with 'Raaz' and introducing Pak bands in Bollywood, then staying off the radar for some time, bhatts are back with Raaz 2 : Mystery Continues. I didn't have any expectations from this album but to my surprise and amazement, song of this album are quite good. Specially, I just love couple of them - 'Maahi' and 'Soniyo'. So, here's giving to you 'Kaise Mujhe Tum' sung beautifully by Benny Dayal & Shreya Ghoshal. The song has a soul of its own and you get enchanted by it. I'm listening this song in repeat mode since evening, continuously. And am missing someone. :(
