Lyrics: If I rise (127 Hours)

Bookmark and Share

Well, this song is being posted here just for the sake of getting hits. Frankly, I heard about this song just a few days back and downloaded the album just this morning. Didn’t like this song much, other than A. R. Rahman’s music here & there. But as the song is nominated for ‘Best Original song’ in the 83rd Annual academy awards [or Oscar awards 2011, as they are better known as], guess there’ll be lot of googling for this. Hope to get quite a few hits by posting it here.

127 Hours - Poster

Honestly, I didn’t like even last year’s “Jai Ho” of Slumdog Millionaire either. These westerners are all crazy. And they call our music ‘weird’. Rahman has given much better music in Bollywood movies then these. And damn that British ascent. I couldn’t understand a single word of the lyrics uttered by Dido. Meh, whatever pleases Hollywood’s sensibilities.

Anyway, here’s the song and lyrics of “If I rise” from Danny Boyle’s 127 Hours, starring James Franco. Play away.

[Dido:]
In your life, you're mad.
In your car, you're sad.
O’ you're taller now, I’ve found.
Hold your fire course
O’ your fallen out.
Go and sow your courses.

[A R R:]
If I rise, they are on my drive.
If I believe, it’s more than it is.
More than it is.

[Dido:]
If I rise, one more chance.
All our dreams, more than this.
O’ your taller now, I’ve found.
Hold your fire course.
O’ your fallen out,
Go and sow your courses.

[A R R:]
If I rise, they are on my drive.
If I believe, it’s more than it is.
It’s more than it is.

[Chorus:]
If I thought I wanted more
Get the life more
Just one more call
Though I’ve never lost
Believe I don’t care
Never again.

[A R R, Dido:]
If I rise, they are on my drive
If I believe, it’s more than it is
It’s more than it is.

[Chorus:]
If I thought I wanted more
Get the life more
Just one more call.
[Dido:]
If I believe, there’s more than this
Anymore than this.

I've added all the songs of the album in the above MP3 player widget. The good ones among them are "Never Hear surf music again", "Liberation in a dream", "R.I.P." and the best one "Lovely Day". Let me know which one you like the most.
